Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics Facilities Master Plan

Sweetland Engineering assisted in the preparation of the master plan by providing research and conceptual design of general site layouts, utilities and stormwater management for a combination of new and renovated venues which could serve the University for the next 20 years.

Pegula Ice Arena

Owner: The Pennsylvania State University

New ice arena which houses Penn State’s NCAA Division I men’s and women’s hockey programs and also used as a year-round recreation facility for the community.  The project had an estimated construction cost of $89M.

Beaver Stadium Expansions and Renovations

CM: Barton Mallow/Alexander Building Construction

Sweetland Engineering assisted in the design, permitting and construction administration for several projects at Beaver Stadium including the 1991 and 2001 stadium expansions, emergency medical services facility, Gate A renovations, Gate F renovations, irrigation systems, north endzone and ADA renovations, scoreboard upgrades, LED Logos. The projects had an estimated construction cost more than $100M.
