East Branch Dam Clean Fill Site

42.8 acre clean fill site to place excavations from the rehabilitation project at the dam. Sweetland Engineering designed access roads up a steep hillside and facilitated approvals of an Individual NPDES permit, a major modification to the permit for site expansion and a Chapter 105 general permit for temporary wetland crossing. The project also included coordination for wetland delineations and phase 1 archeological surveys.

Curtin Road Reconstruction

Owner: The Pennsylvania State University

Reconstruction of Curtin Road, from Shortlidge Road and Bigler Road. The approximately 750 feet of Curtin Road reconstruction included the design of major university utility upgrades and extensions within the roadway. The intersection of Curtin Road and Shortlidge Road was redesigned to include turning lanes to accommodate bus turning movements and ADA accessibility.

The Curtin Road/White Course Drive project included the design and relocation of ½ mile of University roadways and associated utility infrastructure. Sweetland Engineering was responsible for the Design, Construction Drawing and Documents, Construction Administration and Permitting
for two new signalized intersections from University lands to US 322 Business (North Atherton Street) and the design and construction of a new 315 car surface parking lot.
