35 acres within the Aboretum at Penn State including pavilions, event lawn and walled gardens. The project had an estimated construction cost of $9.3M.

Jackson Township Fishing Pond

Owner: Jackson Township
Location: Cambria County

GC: Curry & Kepple, Inc.

Sweetland Engineering provided permit coordination with PA DEP, Army Corps of Engineers and the Cambria County Conservation district to allow the construction of a 2.0-acre pond. Sweetland Engineering also prepared construction documents and providing construction contract administration. The pond provides the Township and local sportsman’s club with recreational opportunities including fishing and a walking trail.

Childhood’s Gate Children’s Garden – Arboretum at Penn State

A garden designed for family fun, the children’s garden features a limestone cave, glass house, discovery tree and other kid friendly adventures. The project had an estimated construction cost of $3.6M.

Mike Lynch Overlook

Sweetland Engineering provided design and construction document preparation for improvements to the Mike Lynch Overlook at the top of Mount Nittany.  The project goal was to create a long term solution to the gradual deterioration of the overlook from soil erosion.
