The modest size and location of our firm’s office in State College, Centre County has afforded our firm the opportunity to prepare Act 537 Plans predominately for rural municipalities.  As a result, we have developed expertise in the preparation and implementation of Sewage Facilities planning documents for rural municipalities with 300 or less Equivalent Dwelling Units (EDUs).

 We are well aware that the transfer of information and education of the project participants and local officials regarding the Act 537 planning process is often the key to a successful project.  Our firm endeavors to present all project related information so that when the time comes the municipal officials can make informed decisions.  This philosophy has been beneficial to our clients and resulted in numerous very successful planning projects.

 A listing of our most recent Act 537 planning projects are presented below.  As you review this list, our planning experience with rural municipalities will be evident. 

  • Act 537 Sewage Facility Plan for Lewis Township, Northumberland County, PA.  Preparation of an Act 537 Plan that includes a wastewater collection and conveyance system for approximately 135 homes.  The wastewater will be conveyed to the existing Warrior Run School District treatment facility.  The township will purchase and upgrade the plant as part of the project.  The plant will be designed to meet the Chesapeake Bay Initiative requirements for phosphorus and nitrogen. 

  • Act 537 Sewage Facility Plan for Lake Macham Area, Athens Township, Bradford County, PA. Preparation of an Act 537 Plan for a small “Resort” community consisting of approximately 59 EDUs.  The Plan is scheduled to be approved December 1998.

  • Act 537 Sewage Facility Plan for Portions of Westfield Township, Tioga County, PA.  Preparation of an Act 537 Plan to include three (3) small rural areas encompassing 80 EDUs adjacent to Westfield Borough.  This Plan is scheduled to be approved December, 1998. 

  •  Prepared Act 537 Plan for Greens Landing area in Athens Township, Bradford County.
